The SAC Science Department teachers organized a trip to Orlando/NASA (Kennedy Space Center) with 34 students from all levels in our school between January 21-27.  During this trip, SAC students got informed about space exploration, both past and present, and NASA’s plans for future exploration. They also met with astronaut Jon McBride who was the captain of the Space Shuttle Challenger that was launched from Space Kennedy Center in 1984. SAC students had the chance to hear about Mr. McBride’s experiences during his mission and ask him questions. Finally, students got the opportunity to participate in a simulated astronaut training program and space shuttle mission and received official certificates from NASA. Beside visiting NASA, our students also had some time in Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. On this trip SAC students gained both scientific and other enjoyable experiences.
