Our PTA started a Breast Cancer Early Detection Screening Project with the cooperation of Anadolu Education and Social Aid Foundation. The Çekmeköy District Governor at the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation connected us with local  women who could benefit from this project. Our first meeting was held on April 13 in Çekmeköy at the Mehmet Akif Cultural Center and Çekmeköy Governor Cemal Hüsnü Kansız attended.  Health care professionals from ASM Hospital spoke to participants about the process and scope of breast cancer screening and answered questions about how they can get screened.  We hope this project will grow and reach a wide audience.
