MUHTAR KENT ANNOUNCES 120.000 USD DONATION TO TAC ON SEV LEADERS NIGHT 

SEV, the Health and Education Foundation, brought together all SEV community in New York on November 18, 2014 to carry the 1.5-century-old spirit of solidarity to the future generations. SEV and FABSIT, the two organizations which strive to maintain the quality education of our schools organized a joint event for the first time. “SEV Leaders Night” brought together administrators from SEV and FABSIT as well as many alumni from Turkey and abroad.

Donating 120.000 USD to his alma mater, Tarsus American College, the Coca Cola Company CEO Muhtar Kent stated in his keynote speech that TAC left a deep mark in his academic and personal life. Muhtar Kent also was titled as “SEV Honorary Member of the Board of Trustees”. The event which was organized to reinforce the spirit of solidarity also hosted Prof. Dr. İlter Turan, the Chair of the SEV Board of Trustees, Ms Ceyda Aydede, Chairperson of the SEV Board and Mr. İsmail Ekmekçi, the President of FABSIT. Aydede who started her remarks by thanking the attendees and the sponsor of the event, Godiva, talked about their new project to support students in middle and high school in Soma. She stressed the great impact of the donations made for the event on the materialization of this project.
