We hosted astrophysicist Selçuk Topal at our school on April 20th. Dr. Topal received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Ankara University in Astronomy and Space Sciences, and his Ph.D. from Oxford University in Astrophysics. He talked about the Solar System, stars and galaxies and shared interesting facts about astronomy. He then informed the students on the history and the future of space exploration. This presentation also educated students about career opportunities in the fields of physics and astrophysics.
