In music department students are expected to;

• learn national and international music culture
• develop musical and rhythmic creativity
• develop own talents and tastes by learning music theory
• be able to make connections and syntheses between the information they have learnt in their music lessons and other branches of art
• explore and develop themselves in different areas of music
• use technology correctly in order to find information and understand the changing language of music
• learn harmony and success in teamwork and project work
• be directed, if possible, to the international and national music examination  that can provide support in their educational career
• develop basic music theory and solfege
• develop personality traits such as student discipline, adaptation, relaxation, self-confidence, responsibility and personal touch
• value their own music and culture and respect other cultures
• be dedicated to the values given by Atatürk to national and international music
